In case you didn’t get to hear Band of Horses play songs off their new album last night at their free show in Toronto, you can now stream Infinite Arms in its entirety here at MuchMusic.com. Click here and enjoy.

Sub Pop is feeling generous these days. After giving away a sampler of new-ish stuff yesterday, they’ve tweeted a giveaway of two Dum Dum Girls songs, one of which can only be found on their recent split 7″ with Male Bonding. Grab it here.

Bootlegging is the old school method of leaking. Titus Andronicus fans are following in the footsteps of Deadheads and Phishheads by putting together “an unofficial, fan-made collection of demos, b-sides, and live tracks during the Airing of Grievances era of Titus Andronicus (pre-2010).” You can also find a bunch of live shows to d/l as well. Get ‘em all by clicking here. And if you haven’t already fallen hard for their new album, The Monitor, like I have, pick it up pronto!

Wow, lots of freebies today. Here’s another. Jarvis Cocker has made an album of “tranquil sounds recorded at various locations run by the Trust. Sounds include waves lapping on the shore, clocks ticking and ducks flapping in water.” About the album, Jarvo says, “I hope this album is a ‘holiday for the ears.’ It’s not really meant to be listened to intently, like a piece of music, but more as something to have on in the background to aid relaxation or contemplation.” So, no wonder it’s free.

Finally, Interpol isn’t giving anything away, but they’ve announced a bunch of tour dates to prove that losing bassist Carlos D isn’t gonna slow them down. Most of them are as the opener for U2’s next leg of the 360° tour, but there are two Canadian shows: Toronto’s Rogers Centre on July 3rd and Montreal’s Hippodrome on July 16th and 17th. Interpol will also play some U2-less, “across-the-border” cities like Rochester and Buffalo on June 21st and 22nd, respectively.

Liam Gallagher is quickly getting over Oasis. Along with his clothing label, he says that he wants to form another band eventually. But he doesn’t “wanna do anything solo, it’s not my thing. I want to be in a band.”

“Pulp have no plans to get back together.” So says Jarvis Cocker who claims his words about playing Glastonbury were “twisted.” And that’s that.

AM-friendly rockers Midlake have announced a follow-up to 2006’s stunning The Trials of Von Occupanther is on the way. The “slower, darker” The Courage Of Others is set for a February 2, 2010 release.

Q Magazine held its annual awards ceremony last night. According to them Lily Allen had the best track, Arctic Monkeys were the best live act, Kasabian made the best album and Muse are apparently the best act in the world today.

From now until Halloween, you can download the beautiful Timber Timbre album for free. And yes, it’s legal! We love it, you should too.

Not only is The Mighty Boosh coming to the big screens, but Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt have fessed up that they’re also working on an album!

A new documentary on the triumphant and turbulent history of Creation Records will premiere in February, 2010. Titled Upside Down, the doc will feature interviews with everyone involved in the label, including co-founder Alan McGee, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, among others.

Poor Morrissey. The Moz was just about to begin a concert at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, England when he collapsed on stage and was rushed to the hospital. He was released from a hospital yesterday and is said to be resuming his tour eventually.

Pulp may reunite for Glastonbury 2010. So says Jarvis Cocker, who recently admitted “Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again. We’ve talked about it, there we go, there’ll be a band reunion.” Now that’s a reunion worth seeing.

And if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to play Vampire Weekend’s “A-Punk” or The National’s “Fake Empire,” CBC’s Q has video of the bands giving a tutorial how.

The Flaming Lips have announced that they will release a track-by-track interpretation of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Henry Rollins, Peaches and Wayne Coyne’s nephew Dennis will all contribute.

Jarvis Cocker stepped out for the London premiere of Wes Anderson’s new stop-motion animated flick, Fantastic Mr. Fox, in which Cocker plays a small role. His date for the night? His son Albert, who strikes a remarkable resemblance to his dad.

Former Be Your Own Pet singer Jemina Pearl got a little miffed the other night in Detroit when a fan started heckling her about her old band. Her animal instincts kicked in and then she kicked the snot out of him…

In case you’re looking to get your music fill from every angle, The Independent has compiled a list of the 25 Best Music Websites on the interweb. We were ignored, but there are plenty of other great ones on there.

In case you’re going to see Where The Wild Things Are this weekend, keep in mind that Spike Jonze wrote the whole script while listening to Arcade Fire’s Funeral. Or so he told Ain’t It Cool News.

Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker to receive an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University in November. But first we’ll see and hear him in Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Pavement’s screaming percussionist Bob Nastanovich has spilled some beans about the band’s reunion, saying that there will be no new material and that it will be a “once and once only kind of deal.”

Sufjan Stevens is in doubt over his future in music, asking “What’s the point of making music anymore?” in interview with Exclaim!’s Vish Khanna.

Grizzly Bear to re-release Veckatimest in November as two-disc deluxe edition.

Nick Cave apologizes to Kylie Minogue and Avril Lavigne for writing sexually explicit fantasies about the two starlets in his latest book The Death of Bunny Munro.
