The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion will have their entire catalogue reissued by Shout Factory! next year. While Spencer says they’re currently “very much in deep hiatus, the ‘90s indie rock powerhouse could reunite to celebrate the reissues. “We’re all up for it,” he says.

Jack White told NME Radio that The Dead Weather already have “15 or 20 songs” ready to record a follow-up to this summer’s Horehound in December. “We’d love to have the second record out within a year of the first one.”

Speaking of new albums, indie darlings Spoon have announced they’ll release their seventh full-length in 2010. Transference will be out on January 26th via Merge Records.

After a lengthy search using bloggers and music journalists from across the country, i(heart)music has decided what Canada’s hottest bands were in 2009. We’ll save you the suspense of who #1 is, but it rhymes with The Zural Falberta Vadvantage.

And to get you in the mood for Halloween tomorrow, or perhaps more appropriately, Devil’s Night tonight, Invisible Oranges has picked the Top 7 Horror Movie Metal Videos. If torture porn tickles your fancy, well these selections by Lair of the Minotaur, Impaled and of course, Cannibal Corpse, will definitely do the trick.
