The Guardian newspaper is offering a free live album by Fever Ray with this Saturday’s edition. Despite being a UK publication, the album is a free download so it should be available somewhere online for people with internet connections.

English post-punk revivalists The Rakes have called it a day. The band have said they “just weren’t in it any more” just as they were about to set off on a headlining tour and release their new album in North America.

Transgender torch song singer Antony Hegarty is now a spokesperson for Lavazza, an Italian espresso company. Antony has recorded a version of Pucini’s “Nessun Dorma” that is “to be savoured in one breath or at leisure” much like the very strong coffee. You can download the free MP3 here.

After moonlighting in School Of Language and The Week That Was, the Brewis brothers have not only decided to reform Field Music, but they’ve also recorded a double album called Measure that is due on February 16th.

According to Faith No More’s Billy Gould, the recently reunited band are currently planning some U.S. dates after a successful European tour. Hopefully they include Canada in those plans…
